An official statement was released by the Prime Minister's office on 28th May 2021, announcing the implementation of the Phase 1 FMCO (Full MCO) nationwide for 14 days from 1 - 14 June 2021.
During the FMCO, all economic sectors are not allowed to operate with the exception of essential economic and service sectors.
This decision was made following a rise in Covid-19 in Malaysia in recent weeks, with daily cases exceeding 8,000.
On dated 11th June, it was annouced an extended for 2 weeks of FMCO until 28th June 2021. Government will be implementing a National Recovery Plan that will be divided into 4 phases. We will only be able to step onto Phase 2 of MCO when the average daily cases fall below 4000. National Recovery Plan as below:
On 27th June, Malaysia Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin annouced that Phase 1 of MCO will remain in place until these criteria are fulfilled with less than 4000 number daily infection cases, ICU operating at a moderate level and nation vaccination rate reached 10% of the population.
