Freehold was known as the property and the land is fully belongs to the owner and own the beneficial of ownership.

Therefore, it meaning the freehold owner can transferred the benefit of the freehold ownership to their children or title to it to any others person they want without apply any consent from the government.

Hence, the advantages of the freehold title, they can enjoy free ownership for perpetuity and can use the land for any purposes however in accordance with the local regulations. And so, it is value of making the freehold property is expensive than a leasehold property.

Anyhow, according to the Malaysia’s Law, freehold owner also will be forced to give up the property and land when the government insist to have some project such as building highways or public implementation in the owner’s land. With this case, the government will be paying the compensation to the owner for their lost.
